Identifying Your Headaches to Relieve the Pain There are many different types of headaches that we may experience as individuals and it is imperative that we understand, not only the type of headache that we are experiencing but also why it is that we are experiencing it. Headaches are not generally a problem, in and of itself but rather, it is the body's response to some form of outside stimuli which triggered the problem. One type of headache that you may be experiencing is a sinus headache. Sinus headaches can occur for any number of reasons, such as too much pollution in the air, an increase in allergens, common birth defects which reduce the size and shape of the sinuses or even a bout with the common cold. Another type of headache that you may experience is a migraine headache. Ufortunately, these tend to be much more severe than sinus headaches and at times, they can continue to come on a regular basis. Many times, allergies are behind a migraine headaches and in order for you to be able to get rid of the headaches, you have to identify the triggers. Keep a log of absolutely everything that you do in your life on a regular basis, along with whenever the headaches may occur. Often, you will be able to tell why it is that you are having the headaches after a few days. Tension headaches are something that many of us also have to deal with regularly. Not only do we have stress in our lives that were, but many of us also have to deal with stressful situations at home. Applying heat to the area can help to alleviate the situation but in order to get rid of them totally, you need to learn how to handle the stress in your life. Although it is easier said than done, by learning some effective coping techniques you may be able to reduce your stress and your tension headaches, right along with it.
